As of 23 August 2026, Rockstar Games has not announced a PC release date for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). Every official listing names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.

What history suggests

Rockstar has a consistent pattern of releasing GTA titles on console first and porting to PC many months later. GTA 5 launched on consoles in September 2013 and did not reach PC until April 2015 — roughly 18 months. Red Dead Redemption 2 followed the same shape, arriving on PC about a year after its console debut. GTA 6 is expected to follow a similar console-first cadence, but Rockstar has confirmed nothing.

What about Steam and the Epic Store?

When Rockstar ports to PC, it typically launches on its own Rockstar Games launcher and the Epic Games Store first, with Steam following later. Expect that pattern again if and when a GTA 6 PC version is announced — but no storefront has been named, because no PC version has been announced.

Anyone telling you GTA 6 launches on PC on 19 November 2026 is contradicting the confirmed platform list. We rate that claim Debunked in the leak tracker, and we track the full picture on our GTA 6 PC guide and the GTA 6 release date page.

Our advice as of 23 August 2026: if PC is your only platform, wait for an official announcement rather than buying a console on a rumour. This story updates in place the moment Rockstar says anything.
