GTA 6 Release Date: 19 November 2026 (Confirmed)

The confirmed date

According to Rockstar Games’ official announcement, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) launches on 19 November 2026. Take-Two Interactive has repeated this date in investor communications. It is the single most-searched fact about the game, and it is settled: the date is official, not a leak.

Delay history

The date moved twice before it was locked. Here is the full sequence.

Platforms at launch

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no announced PC version. See our GTA 6 PC page for the full analysis of what history suggests.

Release time by region

Rockstar typically unlocks at midnight local time on launch day, with regional variation. Pre-loading opens 12 November 2026, so pre-order holders can play the moment GTA 6 unlocks in their timezone rather than waiting for a download.

Why the date is trustworthy

There is a difference between a date a leaker posts and a date a publicly-traded company commits to in an investor call. The 19 November 2026 launch falls in the second category: Take-Two Interactive has repeatedly tied its full-year financial guidance to a Grand Theft Auto VI release in this window, and reversing that would be a material event the company would have to disclose. That is why we rate the date Confirmed rather than Credible.

What could still change it

The date has slipped twice already, so a third move is not impossible — game delays usually surface as an official Rockstar Newswire post, not a rumour. We watch that channel daily and update this page in place the moment anything changes, keeping the “Updated” stamp above current.
