GTA 6 has two playable protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos

Our assessment

Confirmed by Rockstar across the official trailers and the game’s website. Lucia Caminos is the first female lead in a mainline GTA. Their Bonnie-and-Clyde dynamic is the spine of the marketing, so treat any "third secret protagonist" claim as unverified until Rockstar says otherwise. Beyond the confirmation, the dual-lead structure reshapes how the story is told: expect perspective-switching between Jason and Lucia rather than one fixed viewpoint. Any claim of a third playable character stays Unverified until Rockstar states otherwise.
